Travel to Belair

Introduction

There are several options for reaching the Domaine de Bel Air. Advice and help will be given on finding the most appropriate means of transport for you so do get in touch.

From London & the Southeast

By Train

The Domaine is about 30 minutes from Le Mans station. A free pick up and drop off will be arranged provided you arrive and depart at the recommended times.

Return tickets on Eurostar from London St Pancras connecting in Lille or Paris to the TGV to Le Mans cost from £90. Journey time is about 5 hours. Train tickets can be booked from three months before the travel dates from Rail Europe (tel: 0870 584 8848) or Eurostar.

As soon as the timetable is confirmed, we will recommend the optimal train times for pick up and drop off.

By Car

There are several ferry routes to western France with varying journey times. See left for contacts.

By Air direct to Le Mans

Ryanair has one daily flight from London Stansted to Tours in the Loire region. If booked two or three months in advance, tickets can be priced as low as £80. Prices rise closer to August. The airport is about an hour's drive from the Domaine and this option is best suited to those who would like to hire a car or extend their stay in the region as we cannot provide pick up or drop off.

Please note that in previous years, the flight timings meant having to leave Bel Air mid morning on Friday. Flight inquiries (and car hire) at www.ryanair.com.

From other parts of the UK or Europe

By Air & Train

The easiest option is probably to travel by plane to Paris (Charles de Gaulle airport) and catch a high speed TGV train to Le Mans.

Some trains go directly from the airport to Le Mans without the need to change in Paris. Alternatively you can make your way to Montparnasse Station where there are frequent trains to Le Mans. The Domaine is about 30 minutes from the station and a free pick up and drop off will be arranged.
